About Us
Hello and welcome to the adventures of Meredith and Vamsi. We hope you enjoy our shared experiences as we explore locally in Oklahoma and Arkansas as well as travel anywhere and everywhere! If you do not know us here is a little background for you.
Jessie & I on Pinnacle MountainI’m Meredith an Oklahoma City native who loves my city, Jessie my pup, and my family. I will also admit to having a bit of an obsession for living a full and healthy life. I work in public health as a project coordinator and if you asked me to describe what I do, I would tell you I work to change social norms one positive behavior at a time. I enjoy spending my time hiking or running, finding or creating healthy recipes (I’m going on 12 years of being a pescatarian), and getting lost in beautiful art, music, or architecture.
Vamsi modeling for a Chacos promo e-mailVamsi is from Hot Springs, Arkansas and just moved to OKC as he starts working as a Pediatrician at University of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Emergency Room. He spends most of his time with his dog Sylas finding new trails or hiking his favorites through all 4 seasons. To give you an idea of how outdoorsy he is listen to this… he was asked by one of his professional photographer friends, Stephen Ironside, to be models for Chacos. Sylas and him went on a 4 day camping and hiking trip as Steven took captivating photos of Vamsi wearing his Chacos in the beautiful Ozarks of Arkansas.
The weekend we metWe met each other in December 2014 and immediately had a connection that had us spending the entire evening we met intrigued with each other. Vamsi knew from the beginning what we had was different and was ready to jump in. I knew what we had was special, but I didn’t want to admit it seeing the 350 mile distance between us as an unavoidable challenge. After the first weekend we met, where we last minute planned out hangouts all 3 days. He came to OKC for New Years, then we met in Bentonville, AR for Valentines. We called, texted, and Snap chatted as friends but as time passed we started liking each other more and more and couldn’t shake what we felt. Finally, after a few emotional discussions and more calls, texts, and snaps I invited Vamsi to Oklahoma City to attend a fundraiser for the OKC Zoo. When he came to OKC there was no more denying we were more then friends and so we decided to go all in on our 350 mile long distance relationship.
The Whole Family in Northwest ArkansasSince then we have continued to travel and explore all over Oklahoma and Arkansas as well as Belize, Guatamala, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Washington. We both enjoy hiking, camping, exploring new cities, and experiencing all the little or big adventures put before us. We both appreciate photography and decided on this blog as a way for us to record as well as share our adventures. We hope you enjoy.
