In the Beginning…

In December 2014, Meredith decided to visit two of her best friends Jamie and Tiffany in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tiffany and Jamie with her husband Rob had recently moved there for the Arkansas Pediatric Residency Program. Meredith hadn’t been to Little Rock before and it was Tiffany’s birthday weekend, so she decided to hit the road and travel 350 miles East on I-40.

When she arrived her friend Jamie was telling her about all the new people she had met in the first few months of being in LR. Jamie mentioned this guy names Vamsi, who she said was cute and that she thought we might hit it off. That night was Tiffany’s party, and Vamsi was going to be there so my curiosity was sparked. Meredith, Jamie, and Rob headed to Tiffany’s party which started with a birthday dinner at a local restaurant. Somehow Meredith ended up sitting across from Vamsi at dinner and just like Jamie said, they hit it off. They even talked about the taboo topic of politics, which they are both passionate about and actually agreed on. Later that night, they went dancing with the group, but truly were in their own world. The spark was lit.

The next day, Vamsi invited Meredith, Jamie, Tiffany, and Rob to join him and his already invited guest Taylor to his condo’s holiday party. It was a progressive dinner in several of the condos in his building. Everyone agreed to go, and another great night where Vamsi and Meredith continued to connect.

The last day of Meredith trip to Little Rock, Vamsi had to work. This didn’t stop him from figuring out a way to hangout. They all decided to do breakfast before he went in to his shift and Meredith starting her drive home. It was undeniable they liked each other.

They continued to text the next few weeks until right before Christmas, Vamsi told Meredith he was off for New Years and wanted to see if she was up for him coming to visit. She of course agreed, excited to see him again. He drove the 350 miles west and they spent 5 days together, with a snow storm in her 650 sq. foot apartment in Downtown OKC. It was a full and fun trip where Meredith showed Vamsi as many fun things as possible in OKC, and enjoying their first of many New Years together.
